Graduated in Biology from  the University of Aveiro in 2006, she completed her PhD in Biomedicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto in 2013.

She currently works as an assistant researcher at FMUP (CEECINST/00091/2018), where she coordinates the Clinical Research Support Unit, integrated in the Knowledge Management Unit.

Appointed a member of the Ethics Committee for Clinical Research (CEIC), as published in the Official Gazette for the 2024-2027 term. The appointment order can be consulted here.

Since obtaining her PhD, she has focused on the area of clinical research, having obtained several accredited certifications in good clinical practice, clinical trial management and clinical study monitoring, strengthening her technical-scientific profile.

Among her most relevant scientific contributions, she participated as a researcher in numerous funded clinical research projects and her role as  a clinical manager in multicenter observational clinical studies and international clinical trials, both academic and industriy.
