The general objectives of this course are to provide theoretical and practical knowledge of animal cell culture. With regard to the theoretical syllabus, it enables the acquisition or deepening of basic theoretical knowledge about cell cultures and the characteristics of cells in culture, about the problems most frequently encountered with this technique and how to solve them, in order to make this technique safer and more efficient. With regard to the practical syllabus, it provides practical experience with cell cultures, in relation to basic procedures such as preparing the culture medium, maintaining the culture and subculture, cell counting, quantifying cell proteins and determining cell viability.
