This advanced training course is intended for medical specialists and residents in General Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, and Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery, with a particular interest in minimally invasive breast oncology surgery. The program combines theoretical sessions, live surgery demonstrations, and hands-on cadaver training, enabling participants to acquire essential technical skills in endoscopic breast surgery.

 

Main topics and learning objectives:
     • Principles, indications, and contraindications of the technique;
     • Execution of the technical steps of endoscopic breast surgery;
     • Live surgery demonstrations by national and international experts;
     • Supervised hands-on cadaver training;
     • Case discussions and review of current scientific evidence. 

 

Developed by the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto with the support of Applied Medical, this course is part of U.Porto’s continuing education strategy, promoting professional development and scientific dissemination in this emerging area of breast surgery.

Language of instruction: Portuguese and partially English

Target audience: Holders of a Bachelor's or Integrated Master's degree in Medicine; holders of a Specialist degree in General Surgery, Obstetrics-Gynecology or Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery; or doctors attending the final year of their internship in these specialties.
