Impulso Mais Digital Programme - Strengthening Digital Skills, financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR)
The ‘Extracting Knowledge from Health Data: Concepts and Applications’ training unit aims to provide health professionals and students with fundamental skills in data mining and analysis, with a special focus on the application of machine learning techniques. In a context of increasing digitisation and volume of health data, this training aims to promote an interdisciplinary approach, combining data science, medicine and engineering, to respond to complex challenges in healthcare.
Through a flexible and interactive e-learning teaching model, participants will have contact with tools and methodologies for modelling, interpreting and communicating clinical data, preparing them to work in evidence-based research and clinical practice contexts. This unit is part of U.Porto's strategy for digital transformation and valuing knowledge, and is part of the Impulso Mais Digital (PRR) programme.
