Impulso Mais Digital Programme, Medicine Reform and Modernisation Sub-measure, financed by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR)
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) presents the Continuing Education Unit ‘Scientific Communication and Publication in Digital Health’, a unique training programme that responds to the current demands for the dissemination and enhancement of scientific knowledge in the field of health.
With a b-learning approach, the course offers practical and theoretical tools for health professionals and researchers who wish to improve their scientific communication, publication and dissemination skills in digital environments. The training places special emphasis on the role of digital health in the academic and clinical ecosystem, promoting the use of digital platforms, publication strategies and scientific dissemination practices in accordance with international quality standards.
Scientific and pedagogical coordination is provided by Prof. Inês Falcão Pires (Department of Surgery and Physiology, FMUP), with the collaboration of Profs. Amândio Rocha Sousa and Nuno Vale and Dr Olga Magalhães. The teaching team has consolidated experience in scientific communication and publishing, as well as in digital communication, ensuring excellent training in line with the current needs of the sector.

Target audience: This course is aimed at healthcare professionals, in particular:
- Physicians, including those working in the field of cardiovascular health.
- Healthcare professionals engaged in continuing education who seek to develop skills in scientific writing or digital health communication (e.g., health technicians, nurses, etc.).
- Educators and instructors: Health professionals who serve as educators and wish to incorporate new approaches or update their knowledge on scientific communication and publishing.
- Medical students or graduates in Basic Health Sciences.
