The Master's Degree in Comprehensive Urgent and Emergency Care (MAIUE) is a study programme in partnership with the Institute of Medical Studies (IEM) in Barcelona and aims to train doctors and nurses to work in urgent and emergency care.
The programme's objectives are to develop the skills needed to deal with urgent and emergency situations, train teamwork/interpersonal relationships, internalise protocols and technical skills.
The teaching-learning methodologies include the use of classic pedagogical methods, complemented by pedagogical techniques such as clinical simulation.
In addition, passing some curricular units could lead to certification in Basic and Advanced Life Support, Mountain Medicine, Aquatic and Sub-Aquatic Medicine, Paediatric Advanced Life Support and Advanced Trauma Support.
