PhD Neurosciences
The PhD Program in Neurosciences, a collaboration between the two U.Porto medical schools (FMUP and ICBAS), is a customized program that provides students from various academic backgrounds with the necessary knowledge to write a dissertation in several fields of neurosciences, both in fundamental and clinical neuroscience research projects.
The program takes place in an international research environment of excellence, with students integrated into the best teams at U.Porto, or in selected international research teams.
The PhD Program divides into two areas: Clinical Neurosciences, Neuropsychiatry, and Mental Health, exclusively for physicians, and Experimental Neurosciences, for postgraduates in biomedical fields. Lasting four years, it comprises 240 ECTS.
