Objectives, activities and expected/achieved results

Main objective: development of an acellular, piezoelectric patch enabling on demand, sequential release of anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrotic and CM proliferative factors as well as electromechanical coupling with the myocardium to promote functional heart remodelling whilst reducing arrhythmogenic risks.

UP: definition of clinical requirements and specifications, ethical approval and execution of in vivo test in large animals, definition of minimally invasive procedure for the cardiac patch application.
