Abstract (EN):
The performance and lifetime of the geosynthetics can be adversely affected by the action of many damaging agents. In this work, a high flow woven geotextile (with known chemical composition) was exposed to several degradation tests: immersion in liquids (water and solutions of sulphuric acid and sodium hydroxide), thermo-oxidation (oven-ageing tests) and weathering (both under natural and accelerated conditions). The damage suffered by the geotextile was evaluated by (1) tensile tests (for all degradation tests) and by (2) tearing and static puncture tests (only for natural weathering).
