National Exchange Programme

Almeida Garrett is a Portuguese mobility programme among public higher education institutions that offers students the opportunity to accomplish a study period at one of the member universities, with full academic recognition. This mobility also includes internships, end-of-course assignments or final projects, provided that these activities are part of the curriculum of their degree at the home university.

Eligible applicants

All students enrolled at one of the partner institutions:
  • 1st cycle students will only be able to undertake their mobility from the 2nd year and provided that they have obtained approval of at least 60 ECTS credits;
  • 2nd cycle students will only be able to undertake their mobility in the 2nd semester and with the duration of that semester;
  • Foreign students attending U.Porto within the scope of mobility programmes lasting two years or less, are not eligible for the programme.

Mobility period:

  • 1 Academic semester (max. 30 ECTS)

Selection criteria:

  • Averages grades obtained
  • Curricular compatibility between FLUP's study plan and the host university.
  • They must have completed at least 60 ECTS credits.

Application deadlines:

  • for the 1st semester: 21st May
  • for the 2nd semester: 15th October

At the end of the mobility, the student will receive, in the case of mobility for studies, a transcript of records with the results obtained in order to obtain academic recognition at the home institution.
