Description: This service aims to assist the integration of disabled students and/or students with special needs and maximize their autonomy. The service’s thus works to raise awareness and understanding of the needs of disabled/special needs students and to provide the latter with full access to the University's information, resources and services.

The service is mainly responsible for:

  • Production and Acquisition of documents in special format
  • Provision of existing documents in special formats
  • Organisation of Exams
  • Training in Information and Communication Technology
  • Accessibility/Mobility and orientation
  • Technical and pedagogical support
  • Involvement in working and discussion groups (with a special interest in the Working Group on Higher Education, which involves offices for disabled students from several Portuguese universities)
