Description:	The Centre of Studies in Geography and Spatial Planning (CEGOT) is a non-profit I&D unit, assembled by researchers from the Universities of Coimbra and Porto, with the common goal of promoting the investigation in the Geography and Spatial Planning domain. It admits teachers, researchers and post-graduate students from higher education institutions who are identified with CEGOT’s scientific goals of and who wish to participate in its activities. Located in the University to which its scientific coordinator belongs, CEGOT was officially recognized in December 2008, after a plurianual financial contest of I&D units promoted by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).
