The Seminar, offered during the 2nd semester in the 4th year of the undergraduate degree in Journalism and Communication Sciences and common to all three areas of specialization (Public Relations, Multimedia Communication and Journalism) is designed to provide students with the opportunity for specialized training in a specific domain of Journalism and Communication Sciences. Upon completing this subject, students should be able to apply and complement the theoretical-practical skills they have developed throughout the whole course. It is, therefore, aimed at providing students with their first approach to the labour market.

Program

. Students will undertake a minimum three-month period of training in Institutions selected by the course coordinators.

. Students will also develop a project in class under the supervision of lecturers from the specializations which make up each optional field of study.

.The project shall consist in preparing a monograph, an essay or research project. Projects may be proposed by both lecturers and students.
. The training coordinators will be responsible for approving proposals, monitoring project work and appointing the lecturers responsible for their supervision.
The conditions set for the assessment of traineeships are also applied to the assessment of the project with the appropriate adaptations.
