Teaching methods and learning activities
. Should there be any questions which students would like to clarify outside class contact hours, they can send an e-mail to bsg@icicom.up.pt.
. Class attendance will be a decisive factor in obtaining good results. Learning in this subject also involves the sociability between classmates and between the lecturer and his students.
. Students are required to arrive on time for classes to prevent disruption.
. The seminar project, which students are to prepare for the Seminar subject, will be supervised during classes, taking on the presentation of that project as the practical component of this subject.
. The lecturer will supervise the progress of the project work, as does a multimedia technician, as a way of providing students with more efficient feedback, reason for which, therefore, it is desirable that they attend classes on a regular basis throughout the whole semester.
. The lecturer will provide theoretical reference material and practical examples in class; however, it is up to each student to carry out constant theoretical-practical research to achieve better results.
. Classes will carry a theoretical component serving as a motto for the research and study of topics in an individual assignment, which shall be submitted in the exam period.
Software
Macromedia studio MX [Freehand; Flash; Fireworks; Dreamweaver] and Adobe Photoshop.
Evaluation Type
Eligibility for exams
Students are required to attend at least 75% of classes.
Calculation formula of final grade
. Students are assessed based on the following: continuous assessment through the application of a project presentation [50%] and a final theoretical assignment [50%].
Examinations or Special Assignments
Not applicable.
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
According to the Assessment Regulations in force.
Classification improvement
. Students must pre-enrol in this subject until 31st October.
. Classification improvement is done according to the parameters of the evaluation type in force: Project [50%] + Theoretical Assignment [50%].
. Coursework should always be supervised by the lecturer, if not, it will not be considered for assessment purposes.
. If a student is not able to attend classes, s/he may book an appointment with the lecturer to discuss project work.
. Classes will be assigned for students to submit their work. Students' performance in presenting their work represents an important element for assessment.
