- Provide students with the essential tools that allow them to be aware of the broad outlines of Administrative Law, in so far as it affects their lives and professional actions, whether in the management of activities in the area of services, commerce or industry; and also in so far as this branch of Law regulates the huge and complex Administrative Organization of the State.
- Acquisition of a legal-scientific perception on a wide field of intervention of public authorities in Contemporary Society, commanding the behavior of the elements of this Society.
- Ability to understand how the Administrative Organization of Society is configured by action of public authorities.
The first step of approaching the themes of this curricular unit is of course a theoretical exposition of the various curricular contents. Students also have the opportunity to directly analyze the legal instruments considered as most relevant in the scope of Administrative Law. In this way, they are enabled to proceed to the resolution of practical cases, that is, of real life situations whose legal regulation demands the application of rules of Administrative Law.
The tutorials allow to provide sources of information and directions of bibliographic research on the subjects studied, proposing the analysis of specific legislation in matters of interest in view of the carreer options of the Degree in Applied Languages.
Taking into account the circumstances inherent to the teaching of the Curricular Unit and the objectives underlying a correct evaluation of the knowledge acquired by the students, the evaluation is carried out by means of a distributed evaluation with two tests, according to the General Assessment System of the FLUP.

- Under the "Regulamento de Avaliação da FLUP", the evaluation method does not include attendance as a prerequisite, taking into account the logistics related to the high number of students (Article 9). To obtain approval, students must obtain "a final mark of 10 points" (Article 5). "All students enrolled and who meet the requirements set out in the schedule of the course" have access to regular season and the time for appeal (Article 11).
