German A1.2 is the follow-up of German A1.1. It is designed for learners of German as a foreign language who at the beginning of the 1st semester had no prior knowledge of this language. The aim is that students achieve a level of knowledge corresponding to A1.2 (elementary user) of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) in all skills: listening, reading, speaking and writing.

In addition, students are faced with the culture / reality of German-speaking countries by reading short texts and by watching / hearing audiovisual materials. Their grammatical knowledge is acquired through further study of textual phenomena in context (syntax, conjugation of verbs, verbs with separable particles, verb tenses, declination of adjectives, pronouns, negation) which also contributes to broadening the range of comprehension strategies.
