Objectives

Das Ziel dieses Faches ist, den Studenten die Mittel zu geben, die ihnen helfen, mit wichtigen Aspekten des deutschen Satzbaus und Textbaus besser umzugehen, und zwar nicht nur als Lernenden, sondern auch als zukünftigen Lehrenden oder Übersetzern.

In diesem Sinne werden sie mit einem Grammatikmodell (der Dependenz-Verb-Grammatik) und mit der Textlinguistik vertraut gemacht. Diese theoretischen Kenntnisse sollen durch eine Reihe von Übungen konsolidiert werden. Diese Übungen bestehen einerseits aus der Identifikation von Ergänzungen und Angaben in Texten oder komplexen Sätzen, aus der Produktion von Sätzen anhand vorgegebener Verben und aus der Korrektur fehlerhafter Valenzen in eigenen Texten; andererseits aus textlinguistischen Kommentaren zu den Kohäsionsmitteln und der Kohärenz in Texten unterschiedlicher Textsorten.

This subject is designed to provide students with the necessary skills to deal with aspects of sentence and text construction in German, not only as learners, but also as future teachers and translators. Thus, they will learn a grammatical model (Grammar of Dependencies) and the analysis principles and categories of Text Linguistics. These theoretical groundings should be consolidated on the one hand, through exercises identifying actuates and circumnutates based on texts or complex sentences and textual production; on the other hand, on linguistic-textual commentaries on the means of cohesion and coherence in different types of texts.

Learning outcomes and competences

- Ability to read a text highlighting syntactic features of sentences, ie, making the breaks at the right times;

- Ability to identify actants and circunstants  of German senteces;

- Ability to construct grammatically correct sentences, respecting the valence of German verbs.
