Objectives

Introduction to the main international issues

Provide the theoretical tools to understand and explain current political conflicts

Development of practical skills for gathering of information and its analysis in oral and written form

Learning outcomes and competences

After completion of this course, students should be able identify the main moments underlying the evolution of the international contemporary system. They should be able to enunciate the main theoretical approaches in IR and apply them to the analysis of major international issues. They should demonstrate the ability to gather international information and to analyze and present it, both orally and in written.
