Objectives




Individual project work aiming at the integration and application of knowledge, skills and attitudes obtained along the course. The work will promoting the development of capabilities of initiative, decision and of work.

Learning outcomes and competences


  1. Individual work of research and development, leading to the development of a scientific dissertation on a subject area of the programme, or to integrate and apply knowledge, skills and attitudes acquired during the course to solve complex problems . 
     



  2. Should promote the development of capacities of initiative, decision-making, innovation, creative and critical thinking.


  3. Should involve information gathering, analysis, the selection of methodological approaches and tools for solving the problem, its resolution, the exercise of synthesis and drawing of conclusions, and the preparation of a dissertation subject to public presentation and discussion of results.

There is no specific syllabus. The students will look into multiple topics covering various fields of knowledge relating to the course and for the integration and application of knowledge and skills and attitudes acquired before.

Teaching methods and learning activities

There are no formal classes. Periodically or as needed, the student meets with the advisor to assess the progress of work and get feedback on the following steps.

The work is individual, but can be developed within a team in charge of a project.

The dissertation is evaluated according to the following criteria:



  1. Quality analysis of the state of art and its consistency with the objectives of the work 

  2. Quality (correction, depth and expertise) of the work done 

  3. Extension of the work done 

  4. Quality of critical analysis of the contribution and results 

  5. Quality of oral presentation and argumentation 

  6. Quality of the Report (structure, correctness, clarity, style, etc.)
