1. To use terms and geographical concepts properly, namely the ones related to cartography 2. To select, specifically from a cartographic approach, the most proper scale analysis for a certain situation 3. To analyse cartographic diversity and interdependence between the local and the global 4. To search for relevant and updated geographical and cartographic information in several proper and reliable sources 5. To treat geographical information correctly, underlining the knowledge in cartographic treatment and updating means 6. To produce appropriate, effective, structured and documented geographical information, using diverse languages (verbal, statistical, cartographical, etc) 7. To be aware of the evolution of challenges, from a cartographic approach, maintaining a reflexive posture but receptive to changes, finding ways to face them and turn them into opportunities for growth and development 8. Attendance in 75% of classes;
Individual works are worth 75% of final grade. Written test is worth 30% of final grade. To obtain a positive grade in this subject, the student must have a minimum grade of 7.5 in each component (in a scale from 0 to 20). If the student does not present individual practical work, he must take an oral exam.
