Successful students will: a) understand hydrological conditioning and its interference in the development of coastlines. b) acquire knowledge on Geomorphology and dynamics of rocky and sandy coastlines. c) understand the role of heritage in the evolution of coastlines. d) discuss the problems related to coastal planning.

E-learning Students are expected to prepare the subjects conveyed in class in advance so as to participate more actively in theoretical and practical classes. There will be a mini-test using Moodle at the end of each subject. This test is designed for self-assessment. Field trip (one day) focussing on the following issues: a. Rocky coastlines (Vila Chã - S. Paio - Labruge) b. Cenozoic heritage (S. Paio - Labruge - Coimbrões -Lavadores).Sandy coastlines and coastal dynamics (Lavadores-Granja).

Presence at 75% of contact time (classes and field work). For students legally dispensed from this obligation a 9,5 average on Moodle mini-tests is required. Tests will be available for 1 week after the presentation of the program items.
The sum of 2 different marks: 2/3 from development questions, 1/3 from a optional resarch paper on a littoral geomorphology subject
Students that cant attend classes must respond to Moodle tests in order to get at least 95 in 200 points
Realization of a new exam. The note of the individual work can, since positive, be used with their weighting to obtain a new grade.
