To learn about the particularities of the Iberian Peninsula during Prehistory.
The Student should be able to recognize the different stages of evolution of:
- Humankind in Iberian Peninsula;
- Settlement patterns;
- Social organization.
Should also be able to:
- Assess the importance of archaeological remains as documents of the past;
- Know the regional variability of archaeological remains and their significance.
1. Pleistocene hunter-gatherers (Palaeolithic).
2. The Early to Middle Holocene hunter-gatherers (Mesolithic-Early Neolithic).
3. The 5th/4th millennium b.C. shepherd-farmers (Middle and Final Neolithic).
4. The 4th/3rd millennium b.C. shepherd-farmers (Chalcolithic).
5. The 3rd/ first half of the 2nd millennium b.C. complex societies (Bronze Age).
6. Complex societies from the end of the 2nd/ 1st millennium b.C. (Late Bronze Age).
