Learning outcomes
Students who successfully complete this class will be able to:
• Identify and relate the main concepts in the theory and practice of industrial translation
• Understand the evolution of the relation between technology and translation
• Identify the various forms of computer assisted translation technologies
• Discuss the practical applications of the different translation and localization technologies
• Use computer assisted translation tools as well as localization tools in small-scale software and website localization projects
• Discuss the role and interaction of the participants in a localization project
