Objectives

The main aim is the intensive and criticak reading, establshing the links between text and context.

Program

I. Representations and constructions: textual and cultural perspectives.
II Detections. Contemporary German Detective Literature: Friedrich Dürrenmatt, Ingrid Noll, Roger Graf, Wolf Haas .
III. Deslocations. Texts by Clärenore Stinnes („Im Auto durch zwei Welten”), Annemarie Schwarzenbach (“Die vierzig Säulen der Erinnerung” and texts from 1941 and 1942), Wolfgang Koeppen („Nach Russland und anderswohin“), Hugo Loetscher (texts about Portugal), Egyd Gstättner („Februarreise an den Tejo“) and Christian Kracht („Der gelbe Bleistift“).
