Teaching methods and learning activities
Theoretical and practical course units will alternate and various didactic strategies will be applied to support and encourage the students‘ progress, individually and as a group, as good as possible. It is expected that the students will independently review and prepare the different units to overcome individual weaknesses. Depending on the program, the students might be asked to prepare and execute presentations and participate in eventual projects.
Active participation in class is highly encouraged to foster the spontaneous oral communication of the students.

Calculation formula of final grade
The final grade is the sum of the written exam plus the oral test, each counting for 50%.
To pass the subject, students have to:
- attend 75% of classes (unless established otherwise by law),
- obtain a score of at least 9 in the written assessment and in the oral assessment
and
- the final average score cannot be less than 10 (on a scale of 0-20).
Special assessment (TE, DA, ...)
In accordance with The FLUP Assessment Regulations:
Students exempted from attending classes (Article 9, paragraph 3) will have to do all the distributed assessment components. The schedule for the various testes/assignments will be posted in the course summaries. Students must schedule a day with the lecturer at the beginning of the semester to present the "Meldung des Tages", and during the semester they must check the summaries so as not to miss the project deadlines.
