- Identify the acoustic properties characterizing consonants, vowels and
suprasegmentals;
- identify place of articulation;
- identify manner of articulation;
- distinguish sounds represented by IPA symbols;
- distinguish German and Portuguese phonological systems;
- use transcription code of connected speech in German.
