Objectives
The general evolution of the political history and the political structures of the East Europe, since the fall of the Roman Empire to the appearance of the modern state
Program
1. THE BEGINNING OF EUROPEAN CIVILIZATION
1.1. The change from the ancient to the medieval world. The barbarian invasions and the appearance of the first West kingdoms.
1.2. The organization and fall of the Carolingian Europe.
2. The centuries of the Christianity
2.1. Power in Europe. Peace, Christianity and temporal power.
2.2. Politics from the XI century to the beginning of the XIV century: 1 – The church and the empire (mid-11th century to 1175).
The Gregorian reform.
2.3 Political life from the 11th century to the beginning of the 14th century. The cycle of the advent of the monarchies (1175 to the beginning of the 14th century). The reconquest in the Iberian Peninsula.
3. The 14th and 15th centuries
3.1. The crisis of the 14th century.
3.2. Political structures.
3.3. Political life (mid-14th century to 15th century).
The wars to dominate parts of the world: the Atlantic and the Western Mediterranean.
The Hundred Years War and the problem of Italy.
3.4 Political life (mid-14th century to 15th century). Political evolution in Castile and the Aragon Crown.
