Objectives
This seminar aims at familiarising the students with an expressive number of texts written by women, inviting to a reflection on their specificities. The authors, the issues discussed and the literary genres that we are going to focus on will be duly contextualized; at the end of the semester, students are expected to present an essay reflecting competences of analysis of a literary text written by a female author, as well as profound consideration of its literary, historical and thematic framework. On the whole, the programme will provide students with specific skills, theoretical information and conceptual tools that will enable them, at the end of the seminar, to have a critical understanding and a deep knowledge of some of the main trends of Women Studies.
