Objectives
This subject’s aims are the following:
- To develop methods and techniques for project conception and project evaluation.
- To develop methods for strategic planning and strategic prospecting.
- To reinforce students’ knowledge of the trends in Europe and in Portugal in matters of physical planning and management.
- To develop a spirit of cooperation and collective learning and to encourage critical and creative approaches.
- To get students to use planning language properly
- To identify the role of the geographer within physical planning.

Teaching methods and learning activities
Theoretical classes: explanatory classes
Practical classes: development of a teaching-learning approach, organized through group coursework and oral presentations by students.

Students enrolled in continuous evaluation should attend at least 75% of practical classes.
