Resumo (PT): Os festivais de Verão são os momentos altos de consagração das expressões musicais juvenis e esse é um fenómeno que tem vindo a merecer especial relevo na sociedade portuguesa ao longo dos últimos anos. Assim, e através da análise sistemática ao longo de 3 anos de dois dos principais festivais de Verão, o Festival Heineken Paredes de Coura e o Festival Sudoeste TMN, evidenciaremos num registo marcadamente etnográfico quais são as modalidades de interacção desenvolvidas e sua correspondente transcrição musical. Pretendemos ainda analisar a lógica de funcionamento dos festivais considerando-os como momentos altos que marcam a consagração das culturas juvenis em Portugal com toda a panóplia de eventos, artefactos e contextos de interacção que têm na música a sua mais intensa expressividade. Procuramos ainda discutir as diferenças entre ambos os festivais e de que forma marcam ou não vivências diferenciadas do rock enquanto instância de gostos e afectividades mas também de imposição de valores e de normas.

Abstract (EN): The summer festivals are the highlights of consecration of musical expressions juveniles and this is a phenomenon that has been given special emphasis in portuguese society over the past years. Thus, through systematic analysis and over three years for two major summer festivals, the Heineken Festival Paredes de Coura and Sudoeste TMN, evidence a distinctly ethnographic record what are the modalities of interaction developed and their corresponding musical transcription. We also plan to analyze the operating logic of festivals regarding them as the highlights marking the dedication of youth culture in Portugal with the full panoply of events, artefacts and contexts of interaction that have music in its most intense expression. We also seek to discuss the differences between both festivals and how they score or not differentiated experiences as a forum for rock and tastes affected but also the imposition of values and norms.
