Abstract (EN):
The study of the sustainability of research has emerged in the policies of research and literature as an essential element for the promotion of projects¿ quality, contributing not only to the improvement of the research process, but also to the results continuity after the end of the funding period. However, studies on the sustainability of research continue to be limited. In addition, research funding agencies have been, in recent and highly competitive calls, requesting evidence of research impact and sustainability so as to demonstrate that the funds were (and will be) well spent. Determining ways to enhance the sustainability of research, particularly in the educational research field, as well as understanding its process, are as important as the promotion of innovation by developing research. This article presents a literature review on the sustainability of the research, the concept, the factors and actions for its implementation. Hence, it is intended to contribute to the quality of educational research, in its sustainability dimension, showing the importance of integrating key factors in the development of projects, influencing educational policies, funding agencies and involved actors (researchers, teachers, students¿).
