Abstract (EN):
The article studies the linguistic specificities of Aquilino’s work, concentrating in particular on the novel A Casa Grande de Romarigães. In arguing that an important part of the regionalist facet often noted by critics derives from the discursive construction itself, the author analyses two of the most important linguistic aspects: the lexical choice and the emphatic comparative structures.
