O projecto tem como objectivo central o desenvolvimento de um Sistema Inercial de Orientação (Attitude Heading Reference System - AHRS) que combine as seguintes características:
Elevada precisão e alcance, baseados em tecnologias MEMS
Utilização de dispositivos FPGA, nos quais é implementado um filtro para determinar os parâmetros relevantes do sistema
Custo competitivo com os sistemas actualmente disponíveis no mercado
