The aim of the project " SCENTFASHION " is the production of a line of perfumed clothes. In a first stage they will be developed technologies /processes for microcapsules production that will be incorporate in woven articles. With the test and analysis methods to develop along 24 months intends to contribute for a global strategy that seeks the introduction of emergent technologies in the textile sector. The competitiveness of the textile sector is determinate essentially by the capacity to understand and to answer to the customers' needs and adjusting to the evolution and mobility of technologies and human resources. The intervention of a most recent technology, as the microencapsulation in a traditional industry as the textile, will allow the introduction of a larger versatility of products and processes answering to the requirements of fashion, contributing so that the textile industry is apart to the competition of the countries with competitive factors based on price of the work hand and where doesn't exist a very accentuated social concern. There are several potential markets for the target innovation product, and they over take the traditional textile sector. The developed technologies /processes will allow, besides perfumes the microencapsulation of another substances as anti-scents, moisturizing, anti-bacterial and still the possibility to incorporate microcapsules with vitamins. The know-how of the Portuguese textile universe represented in the consortium by the "A Penteadora", company of the group Paulo Oliveira (one of the most important groups of the world in the sector of the wool sector), ally to the existent critical mass in CITEVE (entity of the scientific system and technological holder high know-how in the textile area) and LSRE (entity of the scientific system with high know-how in the area of Chemistry
