Summary: The objectives of this project is to offer expert training at PhD. Level in control engineering related issues oriented to improve the research and quality of lecturing in the Universities participating in the project. More specifically: Train the students in the research methodology and techniques, in particular in the field of automatic control; Improve the students capability of designing, implementing and operate automatic control systems in industrial processes; Acquire a multidisciplinary formation that involves control theory, industrial communications, computing, instrumentation, process plants, modelling and simulation, and environmental concerns; Introduce modern learning techniques using new technologies and combining theory and practice adequately; Define and progress in research topics oriented to the PhD thesis of the students.
