Apresentação Pessoal

Diogo Miguel Pinto holds a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (2016) and a Master's in Risks, Cities, and Spatial Planning, specializing in Urban Policies and Spatial Planning (2020). He also has a postgraduate degree in Geographic Information Systems and Spatial Planning from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto (2021), and a Postgraduate degree in Civil Protection Law from the Institute of Legal and Political Sciences of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (2023). In 2020, he completed his master's dissertation project titled "The Demarcated Region of Douro: Some Reflections for a Multifaceted and Sustainable Rural Development" with a final grade of 18 out of 20.

He was a Senior Technician in the Geographic Information Sector of the Planning, Economic Development and Territory Management Division at the Municipality of Peso da Régua as part of the 6th Edition 2nd Phase of the Professional Internships Program in Local Administration. He also worked as a Geography Technician in the Planning Sector of the company MPT - Mobility and Territory Planning, Ltd. More recently, he was a researcher in the research project AVODIS-Understanding the social context of rural Portugal to implement social actions to prevent catastrophic fires, ongoing at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto, reference PCIF/AGT/0054/2017, funded by the Foundation for Science and Technology, I.P. (FCT)/MCTES through national funds (PIDDAC). He completed a Curricular Internship at the Commission for the Integrated Management of Rural Fires of the Northern Region of the Agency for the Integrated Management of Rural Fires, I.P. (AGIF). He is a collaborating researcher at the R&D unit - Center for Geography Studies and Spatial Planning (CEGOT).

He was a member between 2022 and 2023 of the External Evaluation Committee of the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES - Lisbon). He is a member of several scientific associations and other civil society associations.

Since September 2023, he has been a Young Auditor of National Defense at the National Defense Institute.
