Philip Bob Bracker obtained his PhD in German philology at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Potsdam, Germany, in 2016. The title of his thesis is “The emergence of ethnic identity among people with a Turkish migration background”. From 2009 to 2016 he was a research assistant and the coordinator of the “Centre for Language, Variation and Migration”. From 2017 to 2022 he worked as a Lecturer and a grantee of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). Since 2023 he works at the University of Porto as a guest Auxiliary Professor. He teaches German as a Foreign Language (A1-B2), Applied Linguistics, Methodologies for PhD Students, and Intercultural Communication on Bachelor- and Master-Level. He has an MA in Psycholinguistics, Philosophy and Psychology from the Ludwigs-Maximilians-University of Munich, Germany. His research interests include linguistics, drama-pedagogy, and didactics.
