The Study Cycle Leading to the Master's Degree in Teaching Philosophy in Secondary Education is a 2nd cycle programme designed to equip students with the scientific and pedagogical competences necessary for the teaching profession. It confers a professional qualification for teaching in secondary education (in the specific area of Philosophy) and provides access to the knowledge and skills assessment required for professional teaching certification.
Objectives
The different components of the Master's degree programme aim:
At the professional, social, and ethical level, to ensure that the future teacher adapts to the specificities of the social and school contexts in which they operate, respecting the ethical and deontological requirements inherent to the teaching profession.
At the level of teaching and learning development, to equip the student with the scientific and methodological tools that enable them to promote quality teaching capable of ensuring meaningful learning.
At the level of participation in the school and the relationship with the community, to develop the understanding of teaching as a comprehensive and integrated activity.
At the level of lifelong professional development, to make the initial training the starting point of a trajectory grounded in reflection on educational issues and professional practice, aiming to build a training project that responds to the individual, institutional, and social challenges posed to education.
