Applications calendar and number of vacancies
Admission requirements: graduate degree or equivalent. Admissions are made by contest.
1st year applicants:
- Portuguese citizens, holders of a 1st cycle or equivalent.
- National and foreign citizens holders of a graduate degree accomplished in a foreign university with a Portuguese studies component. For these students, the accomplishment of a proficiency test in Advanced Portuguese (equivalent to DUPLE of CAPLE) is required.
Notes:
- Exceptionally, in duly justified cases, the scientific council may admit the application for registration of holders of other graduate degrees or of legal equivalent qualifications whose curricula demonstrate an adequate scientific preparation.
- The Camões Institute’s scholarship students aren’t free of paying a fee.
Degree approved under Art. 54 of the Teaching Career Statute, regulated by Ordinance number 334/2008, of 30/04, for the groups: 200 and 300 (Order of July 13th, 2023).This degree enables those who are already in the teaching profession to advance in their career, but it is not a teaching qualification degree.
