The PhD programme in Global and Development Studies is the result of collaboration between the departments of History and Political and International Studies, Sociology, Geography, and Communication and Information Sciences. It aims to provide solid scientific training and tools for qualified intervention in the fields of politics, society, culture, education, economics, and ecology.
The course is markedly interdisciplinary, allowing for a comprehensive and integrated understanding of the challenges posed by the dynamics of globalisation, such as poverty, inequality, the ecological crisis, climate change, migration and international conflicts.
