Master Degree in Health, Communication and Society

It is a training offer that did not exist in Europe until then, which presents a multi and interdisciplinary program, bringing together professionals from Communication  Sciences and Health Sciences (human, animal and environmental). To this end, it coherently aligns the general and learning objectives of the study cycle, making them compatible with the nature, mission and strategy of the institutions that make up the consortium (ICBAS and FLUP).

Objectives

It is a multidisciplinary educational offer aimed to graduate communicators to use a collaborative, multisectoral and transdisciplinary approach – at regional, national, and global levels – to achieve optimal health and well-beingoutcomes, recognizing the interconnections between people, animals, and the environment. These professionals will help citizens acquire the capacity to gain access to, understand and use the information to promote and maintain good collective health. The aim is to train people with the skills to create and implement effective communication strategies based on the choice of content, formats, and communication channels. This course is oriented towards digital communication, an emerging sector with great prospects for future projection. Upon completion, certificate earners will have the ability to inform, influence and motivate different audiences to facilitate informed decisions with a positive impact on human, animal, and environmental health.
