Third cycle of studies in Archaeology

The student who’s successfully completed the 1st and 2nd cycles in Archaeology, fulfilling a total of 300 ECTS, will be granted the possibility of deepening his/her research and proceeding his/her studies to obtain the 3rd cycle diploma, conducive to the PhD degree; the opening to this evolution of competences is also extended to holders of different academic paths who demonstrate the basic education and capacity to accomplish this advanced specialization cycle of studies.

The curricular structure foresees the deepening of the researcher’s competences, either through the supervisor’s monitoring of his/her activity, in Seminars and in tutorial sessions, or in a prolonged research effort in the preparation of the PhD’s dissertation.

The integration in the scientific means and the disclosure of the developing research will result in the mandatory presence in scientific meetings, with communication presentations and/or the submission of articles for publication in specialized journals.
