Master Degree Course in Sociology and Health

OVERVIEW

The Master in Sociology and Health, results from a partnership between the University of Porto Medical School and the Faculty of Arts, presents a program of postgraduate training oriented to the improvement of knowledge about social and health dynamics, allowing for the training and the strengthening of a specific scientific research field directed towards understanding population health.

The Master main objective is to create the skills that allow for the critical and strategically thinking and acting about cross-cutting issues related to health and society.

It aims at providing the students with conceptual and methodological tools, available in extended and multidisciplinary contexts related to social and organizational intervention in health, and to provide them with skills of analysis in research topics related to the social dimension of health.

The master is specially aimed at students with degrees in Sociology, Health Technologies, Nursing, Management, Economy, among others.

: Graduates (1st or 2nd cycles).
