Course Description
The course’s main objectives are the following:
The study of the language, culture and literature of Portugal and the Portuguese-speaking countries;
Provide the students with methodological research and analysis tools, thus developing their capacity for learning, critical choice and reflection on the knowledge acquired;
Encourage interest in scientific research.
The degree course in Modern Languages and Literature - Portuguese Studies offers students the possibility to specialise in Education, aimed at providing students with adequate training as future teachers of Portuguese. Students may also pursue General Studies, where they can opt for subjects from a wide range of options in linguistic and literary studies.
