Masters in Sociology (MSOCI)
2026/27 - Admission - 2nd cycle of studies admission - 1st Phase

Students with the following qualifications are eligible to apply for enrolment in the Master's Degree Programme in Sociology: •holders of a Bachelor's degree (corresponding to a minimum of 180 ECTS) or legal equivalent; •holders of a foreign higher education degree awarded following a 1st Cycle of studies organised in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process or by a State adhering to this Process; •holders of a foreign higher education degree that is recognised as satisfying the objectives of a Bachelor's degree by the statutorily competent body of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto; •holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognised as attesting to their ability to complete this cycle of studies by the statutorily competent scientific body of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Porto. Graduates with degrees prior to the Bologna Process who wish to enrol in the Master's Degree in Sociology may request accreditation for the training acquired in their respective degree and their professional experience, provided that it is relevant and has been exercised for at least five years.
