Third cycle of studies in Sociology (DSOC)
2025/26 - Admission - Doctoral Programme - 3rd Phase

Applicants must be: 1) Holders of a master's degree (which, cumulatively with the bachelor's degree must total a minimum of 300 ECTS credits) or legal equivalent; 2) Holders of a bachelor's degree (corresponding to a minimum of 180 ECTS credits) who have an particularly relevant academic or scientific curriculum, which is recognized by the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto as having the ability to undertake this cycle of studies, after hearing the Scientific Committee of the cycle of studies and the Department of Sociology; 3) Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized by the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto as having the ability to undertake this cycle of studies, after hearing the Scientific Committee of the cycle of studies and the Department of Sociology; 4) Holders of academic degrees equivalent to those referred to in the preceding points, organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process and awarded by a higher education institution from a Country participating in the Bologna process.
