Third cycle of studies in Philosophy (DFIL)
2025/26 - Admission - Doctoral Programme - 3rd Phase

Applicants must be: 1) Holders of a master's degree or legal equivalent in the scientific area of Philosophy. 2) holders of a foreign higher education degree in Philosophy following the completion of a 2nd cycle of studies organized in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a Country participating in the Bologna process; 3) Holders of a foreign higher education degree in Philosophy that is recognized by the Academic Institution’s statutorily competent scientific body as meeting the objectives of the master's degree. Applicants who do not meet the conditions mentioned in the preceding paragraphs, but have an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that proves appropriate preparation for the doctoral degree, may also apply, upon proposal from the Scientific Committee of this cycle of studies, as foreseen in point c, of n. 1, article 30 of paragraph 2 of Decree-law n. 74/2006, in the provisions of Decree-law n. 115/2013, of 7 August, and in the University of Porto’s Regulations for the 3rd cycle of studies.
