Objectives
The UC aims to outline a geographic, political, economic, social and cultural panorama of Germany nowadays, though considering the phenomena and events which led to the current situations.
By the end of the semester, students approved in this curricular unit should know the geographic aspects and the the political, economic, social and cultural facts that characterize Germany nowadays and what events have led to it. Such comprehensive and multifaceted competence should concomitantly provide students with a questioning perspective and the willingness for a contextualizing approach to human facts.Learning outcomes and competences
Through a systematic study of the political, economic, social and cultural phenomena and contexts that characterize the geography and history of Germany nowadays, students will acquire a detailed, rigorous and multifaceted knowledge of Contemporary Germany.Working method
