Objectives
This curricular unit aims to draw a cultural panorama of contemporary Germany (and other German-speaking countries), focusing with particular emphasis on literature and film from 1945 to the present.
Learning outcomes and competences
At the end of the semester, the students should recognize some of the main events, personalities and subjects that shape the cultural history of Germany (but also from other German-speaking countries) from the second half of the 20th century to the present day. Such wide and multifaceted competence should develop a critical and an interdisciplinary perspective concerning the most recent intellectual and artistic manifestations within the German-speaking space.
