Objectives

The objective of this module is to help students reflect on the cultural and religious aspects of social phenomena, events, situations and attitudes which do not seem to have any evident relation with culture and religion stricto sensu. Simultaneously, the study and methodology of the sources of cultural and religious structures will provide students with a better understanding of society, culture and the mentalities of a specific historical period.

Learning outcomes and competences

The student should be able to recognize the research path when confronted with issues of cultural-religious domain linked to history and heritage.

Students who, due to their status can not participate in courses, should contact the teacher at the beginning of the class to schedule work in an extraordinary calendar and must carry out several exercises in substitution of the tests and tasks done in the classroom.
